An astonishing collection of 22 million pickled animals, including some collected by Charles Darwin and Capt Cook, is going on view to the public for the first time.
No tags for this post.The specimens were previously hidden away in cupboards and stairwells at the Natural History Museum, London. Now, all preserved in alcohol, they fill 450,000 bottles on 17 miles of shelving in the museum’s ?95 million Darwin Centre….Telegraph
