Truly pathetic
How pathetic can conservatives get? Well apparantly quite a bit.
The White House reacting to reports on ABC news filed by Jeffrey Kofman, a highly respected journalist, showing the plumetting morale in US troops in Iraq, chose to attack the messenger rather than the message (well to be fair how can you attack a message that is patently true given the interviews with soldiers whose careers are now ruined by their statements). They sicced Matt Drudge on him in an attemt to lower the debate into the sewer by playing on anti-Canadian feeling and anti-gasy sentiments in the US. You see Kofman is not only Canadian but is also openly gay.

How pathetic can they get? I’m afraid we will find out there is no sewer so filthy that the conservatives won’t wallow in it rather than admit their mistakes like real men and then correct them.

As if either of those things (gay, Canadian) is something of which to be ashamed.
They seem more like children every day. I’m waiting to see in the headlines: “We know you are, but what are we?”

It is truly frightening to watch what happens when the uber-conservatives circle their wagons. They show how pitiful they really are when the worst insults that they can come up with are “You’re gay” or “You’re a liberal” or (gasp) “You’re french!”
They need to realize that many bleeding heart liberals may take those as compliments!
