More Skylines for Stu

26 September, 2004 (16:00) | Hiking, Photography, Rossland

Today I went back to a trail I discovered earlier this summer because I knew it would provide me with some new skylines. This trail hooks around the Southern slope of Red Mountain and parallels for a bit Hwy 22A that runs down to the US border a mere 6 miles away. In the next two photos Rossland is just below and off to the left. You can see the last few houses of Lower Rossland in one picture.

Walking back on the trail I saw one of the year’s last butterfly’s warming itself in the sun. Sights like these make all the huffing and puffing to get to them worth while.
