Insanity

17 December, 2004 (17:44) | Computer, Economics, Sociology

Proof positive I guess that I will never be an entrepreneur is thefact that I would never pay US$26,500 in real money for an imaginary island in an online game. I’m still trying to sort out, for myself, what it says about our society that someone would, and more so that he’s going to make a profit off it because others will want to build homes on that island or mine gold on it. I;m flabbergasted.

Okay, that’s conspicuous consumption. And, I am quite sure, a sign of Apocalypse.

You have to wonder what these people would be left with if suddenly their computers vanished.
