Racers on the track
Well, despite it not freezing overnight, the bobsled races went ahead anyways. There was a fairly decent crowd on the corner

There were 10 home made ‘bobsleds” and the first of two runs each, while slower than usual, was not bad.

but by the time the 10th one had made it down the track for the first time the track was getting pretty beat up. The fastest time for the course was 52 seconds but by the second round they were up around 1:20. The surface was just too soft, and it really became a case of :

to get it over the not so steep part of the course. Hopefully next year we’ll get a good freeze up before the race!
