Same Sex Marriage legislation
Well parliament resumes this week and the first thing on the agenda is a new bill by the Liberals to enact a bill giving same sex marriages the same legal protections and rights as “traditional” marriages. Of course the fundies are up in arms about this, unable, or more likely at least from their putative leaders, unwilling to see things rationally. Many straw men are being erected and the notion traditionality is used as a smoke screen for religious values.
As usual those on the left have used logic to put forth the reasons for their stance and, as usual, the right has ignored that logic. It’s time to hit them where it hurts and use their own twisted logic and religion to sway them to our side. To that end Jim Elve over at Blogs Canada has a great solution.
