Fred Neil
Are here any Fred Neil fans out there? If so and if you are so inclined I’d really appreciate an mp3 of his version of “Please send me someone to love” - and if you happen to have the BB King version as well I’d be interested in that too
I’m back playing guitar a bit and I want to get Fred Neil’s phrasing as I can’t quite remember it
Fred Neil Version
E E7
Heaven please send all mankindA C
Understanding and peace of mindE ->slide B, C,C# on A string C#7
And if it’s not asking too muchF#m B7
Please send me someone to loveE (walking down arpeggios on G4, B3 and E0 strings) B7
Tell the world how to get along
I know that peace will enter after all hate is gone
so if its not asking too much
please send me someone to loveBreak:
A/A/E/E7/A C/ E C#7/ F#m/B7/
I lie awake nights, count the world and its troubles
and my answers are always the same
unless man puts an end to this damn loveless sin
you know he’s gonna put the world in aflame
UPDATE
And a really big thanks goes out to
for finding me the Fred Neil version (and as a bonus the BB King with Gladys Knight version as well). Thanks also goes to CraigB for the Fiona Apple version.

Tried e-mailing the Neil version to you, but the e-mail bounced (inbox full - probably with the B.B. King version I sent you). E-mail me if you still want me to send it (after you clear your mailbox, of course).
