Not recommended
When I was in Kelowna a couple of weeks ago I bought a Dynex DX-UH227 7 port USB 2.0 hub. That was a mistake, I think in retrospect I should have gone for the Belkin 7 port model even though it was $20 more. When I got it home and installed it it worked great for 4 days then complertely stopped working when I turned my laptop on the morning of the 5th day. I tried unplugging everything and “rebooting” it by unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in again. Nada - nothing worked so I sent it back to fuure Shop and they overnighted me a replacement (impressive service I must say.) Well the replacement worked for a day and a half then the same problem except this time unplugging the power cord for the hub (with the laptop turned off) and replugging it seems to be working. It seems to be completely random, sometimes when booting the laptop the hub will work other times it won’t. Very disappointing.
