Canada and the world lost a great artist today when John Allan Cameron succumbed to a lengthy illness and died. If you are a fan of Celtic music you owe a big debt to J.A.C.. If you’re a fan of groups like the Barra MacNeils or The Rankin Family, or individuals like Natalie MacMaster (fiddle) or Ashley MacIsaac (fiddle) you owe him a big debt of gratitude. He epitomized Gaelic music in Canada and will be greatly missed.
