I was going to say unbvelievable but…

How anyone can really truly believe the holocaust never happened is beyond me. Maybe they are such spinmeisters themselves that they assume everyone else is too. Certainly Ahmadinejad has long had a hard-on for Israel in particular and Jews in general. You can bet the conference attendees will be hand picked to deliver the results Mahmud Ahmadinejad wants, be it a “Yes it happened” so he can save face or a “No it didn’t” so he can launch more tirades against Israel and the west.

TEHRAN, Dec. 5 (MNA) — Tehran is planning to hold an international conference on the holocaust from December 10 to 11. Thinkers from 30 countries will participate in the conference.

The Deputy Foreign Minister for Educational and Research affairs Dr. Manuchehr Mohammadi said on Tuesday that Iran has invited some 67 researchers from 30 countries including Germany, France, Britain, Sweden, India, Japan, the United States of America, Belgium, Austria, Kenya, Tajikistan, Hungary, Canada and some Jews.

The Foreign Ministry Office for Political and International Studies will host the conference.

He said that both those who believe the West’s standard history of the holocaust and holocaust skeptics will be participating in the conference.

The conference entitled “The Holocaust, Global Outlook” is being held to find out whether the holocaust really happened, Mohammadi told local and foreign journalists.

“If the conference concludes that the holocaust happened, Iran will accept it,” he added.

However, the Foreign Ministry official said if the holocaust really happened, “why should the Palestinian nation and other Middle Easterners have to pay the price?” (more…)

Only a truly stupid person, and I mean extremely low IQ, can truly believe the holocaust did not happen, the others are out for political gain of some kind.

my ex mother in law still bears the tattoo she received at auschwitz - where most of her family was murdered. i am not sure i would even attend a conference or accord it any kind of validity or respect if its starting point was to deny the holocaust. it’s like denying the american revolution. today’s realities speak to the reality of that momentously horrific episode in the history of humanity.
