Interesting Opportunity

China has lost most Internet connectivity due to the underwater cables that broke this week. We should see a dramatic drop in SPAM for the next week or so while those cables are repaired. I hope someone is tracking this.

I’ve lost about 300 of my 1300 daily readers. But some unknown proportion of this is doubtless due to regular readers being on Xmas vacations. I usually lose 150-250 daily readers when the colleges are on vacation anyway ;-)

FWIW, my incoming spams have reduced about 25% too. Most still come from the USA, btw :-(

Excellent point. I say keep track of the IPs that come on line FIRST and permanently BAN them since they’ll very likely BE the worst spammers.
