paranoia rising
I can’t help but wonder if the capture of those 15 was not in fact a set-up by the UK for Bush’s sake. To invade needs an international incident of some kind that will mobilize the UN to go beyond sanctions.
- What if Blair agreed to have a ship sail into Iranian waters or into an area that they new Iran would dispute?
- Does any one else find the rapid confessions of several of the sailors to be more than a bit suspicious?
- What if those were their orders all along?
- playing the nuclear card hasn’t worked for Bush, other members of the security council simply haven’t played along
The tension is escalating and if the impasse can not be resolved then fighting will happen and that’s what Bush has wanted all along. It all seems a little too pat to me.
