Home Sweet Home
Diane and I have put in a successful offer on a 2 bedroom bungalow in Trail. We both felt immediately at home as soon as we walked in so that’s a great sign. Unlike the other houses we saw there is almost no work needed (minor stuff like converting the kitchen to a gas stove and moving the washer and dryer) upon possession (June 29) - here are a few pictures.
The front of the house

The living room (not our furnishings)

The rear of the house
The driveway you see in the front shot actually leads to an in house garage but we are going to eventually remove the doors and build a wall and regular door there so as to convert that portion of the basement into a 3rd bedroom and some additional storage or possibly a multimedia theatre. The roof over the driveway we are going to convert to a sundeck/patio/container garden. 984 sq. ft. on the main and 900 in the basement. Gas fireplace too! Just right for two adults, 3 cats and a future dog (as soon as we can fence the property.

That looks like a little slice of heaven, not least because of where it is. Congratulations!
