Unbelievable?

20 July, 2007 (16:15) | Political

I was going to say this is unbelievable but then no coming from the oval office these days is unbelievable anymore. With this one step has declared that executive privilege, something that isn’t even enshrined in the constitution, trumps the of government and the law. The sheer is astonishing.

From WaPO

Bush administration officials unveiled a bold new assertion of executive authority yesterday in the dispute over the firing of nine U.S. attorneys, saying that the Justice Department will never be allowed to pursue contempt charges initiated by Congress against White House officials once the president has invoked executive privilege.

Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) called it “an outrageous abuse of executive privilege” and said: “The White House must stop stonewalling and start being accountable to Congress and the American people. No one, including the president, is above the law.”

Amen Harry, amen - now act on it. Impeach the lying, thieving murdering son of a bitch.

I just wonder how much longer the GOP will go along with this madman, he’s going to cost them a LOT more than just a Presidential election.

Sieg heil!
I’ve been saying for a long time that America under Bush has become a fascist dictatorship :-( Glad you are seeing that now too.
