Bad service

in Trail. My experience with them over the past 5 days. This is an email I sent them today. They have lost me as a , and what’s with their if it breaks in 30 days we’ll replace it guarantee. They sold it, they should RMA it for the life of the warranty not just 30 days.

I want to tell you guys how disappointed I am in you. I bought a wireless router from you on June 15, 2007. After several crashes by the router and numerous hours spent with Linksys technical support they decided the router was flawed (probably firmware problem) and told me I could RMA it.

Knowing how long it takes to ship stuff to California and get it returned I thought I would ask you guys if I could swap it out and have you RMA the original. I didn’t expect you to say yes I just wanted to investigate the possibility. Last Friday (September 7) I dropped into the store and asked if this was possible and a gentleman there said sure but they would have to test it first. I specifically mentioned that I had bought it on June 15th and no longer had my receipt. Still he said OK. On Saturday I brought the router in and gave it to the lady at the front desk. She created a work order and again I said it was purchased June 15th and no receipt. She conferred with a tech in the back and said they would test it on Monday and if faulty they would RMA it if the owner approved (because of no receipt)

Monday goes by and no word. Today I call and am told that they will not look at it because it was bought more than 30 days ago and I would have to RMA it myself.

What pisses me off (excuse the language but I really am angry about this) is not that you won’t RMA it but that on both instances I could have been told it was impossible and gone on my way (I already had an RMA number from Linksys). Consequently your staff caused me to lose 4 days shipping time.

I’ve spent a good deal of money in your store on peripherals. You’ve seen the last of my money because of this. I work in and sales and this is , at all.

On the one hand bad service, on the other hand Linksys tech support was awesome.
