Preparre for massive “truthiness”
from the CBC
U.S. President George W. is expected to announce a slow and limited withdrawal of American forces from Iraq in a prime-time television address Thursday night.
Bush’s address from the Oval Office, expected to last 18 minutes, will expand on recommendations made by the top American general in Iraq earlier this week, who said U.S. forces could be reduced to pre- levels by next summer.
“The more successful we are, the more American can return home,” Bush will say, according to released excerpts of his speech.
is the one thing you won’t find in his message. We’ll get the usual , spiel. I guess their pollsters are telling then how hopeless it is for re-election in ‘08 and now they’re getting desperate to save as many seats as possible. It ain’t gonna work but at least (maybe) some troops will be out of harms way.
