Mrs Clinton accused the Illinois senator of producing a misleading leaflet on her health care policy.
“Shame on you, Obama!” the New York senator said at a rally in Ohio, which holds its primary in 10 days.
But Mr Obama said he stood by the leaflet, saying he was puzzled by what he called his rival’s change in tone.
“Enough with the speeches and the big rallies and then using tactics that are right out of Karl Rove’s playbook,” said the former first lady ahead of Ohio’s crucial primary early next month.
It has, of course, been you and your campaign Hillary that has gone out of its way to mislead the public on Barack’s health plan right from the start.

The Hillary Clinton campaign pushed to reporters today stories about Barack Obama and his ties to former members of a radical domestic terrorist group — but did not note that as president, Clinton’s husband pardoned more than a dozen convicted violent radicals, including a member of the same group mentioned in the Obama stories.
“Wonder what the will do with this issue,” mused Clinton spokesman in one e-mail to the media, containing a New York Sun article reporting a $200 contribution from , a founding member of the Weather Underground, to Obama in 2001. (Obama’s ties to the radical group first surfaced last week in a Bloomberg News article.)
In a separate e-mail, Singer forwarded an article from Politico.com reporting on a 1995 event at a private home that brought Obama together with Ayers and , another former member of the radical group.
Opting to leave any attacks on the issue to the GOP may be wise, as attacks from Clinton could backfire. In his final day in office, President Clinton pardoned another one-time member of the Weather Underground, Susan L. Rosenberg, after she had served 16 years in prison on federal charges.
Shame on you - you are exhibiting the worst of the Rovian tactics. You are proving yourself to be as despicable in your as everyone on the right has said you are. You represent the worst type of politician. You are no better than the GOP, you’re just another Washington insider desperate for power. You proved this when you were First Lady trying to get your through and doing it all by the back door. No wonder you didn’t get a singe co-signer for it, you managed to alienate the entire Democratic caucus. You are not a leader, you never have been. You do not unite the country you divide it in order to conquer. . , Shame, Shame.
