Jesus, that’s awful! I heard him live at a Montreal Jazz Festival in the late 80s, he was AMAZING, especially as his performance was totally impromptu at our hotel bar… Because of this, we went to see him in concert, too. Just an amazing musician, tons of vitality…. (I’ve got one of his records playing right now — listening to “River of no return” with “Angel Eyes” next — hey, Jeff, you’re the man!)
