Shame on you Hillary Clinton
Remember back in , before the primary, when Hillary pointed her finger at Obama and said (in reference to his supposed positions on NAFTA), ‘Shame on you, Barack Obama.’ and declared she had been against NAFTA from the start? Well, well, well it turns out there was a lot more to be learned from the White House logs of the former than whether she was present in the White House at the same time Monica was giving Bill a hummer.
Senator Barack Obama’s campaign on Thursday accused Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of purposely distorting her position on the North American Free Trade Agreement, pointing to newly released White House schedules that show Mrs. Clinton attended several meetings on the trade pact while first lady.
In one meeting cited by the Obama campaign, on Nov. 10, 1993, Mrs. Clinton spoke to about 120 participants at a Nafta briefing.
On the schedule released by the National Archives on Wednesday, the meeting was described as a “Nafta Briefing Drop-By” and was closed to the press. Three other meetings in 1993 were generically described as Nafta meetings, but the schedules provided few details.

In a conference call with reporters, Obama advisers described Mrs. Clinton’s White House meetings as evidence that she had misrepresented her support for . She has said that she has been a critic of Nafta “from the very beginning.”
David Axelrod, Mr. Obama’s chief strategist, called the “direct, incontrovertible evidence that Senator Clinton was, in fact, actively involved on this issue.”
“This is a question of political character,” Mr. Axelrod said. “We all remember the press conference that Senator Clinton had in Ohio 10 days before the election, in which she said with great theatricality, and waved her finger at the TV screen and said, ‘Shame on you, .’ ”
“She knew at the time that she made that exhibition in Ohio that we were, in fact, being exactly accurate about her position over the years.” (more at the NYT)
