It’s a very good tribute to Clarke. I got a big lick out of his final comment which I’ve emphasized below.
Before he died, his chief interests were astronomy and the search for aliens. “I’m sure the extraterrestrials are all over the place,” he said in January. “I am surprised and disappointed they haven’t come here already - assuming they haven’t. Maybe they are waiting for the right moment to come. “
For those of you that are not Science Fiction fans it’s a reference to a wonderful short story, , by another classic SF author . The story was picked up by Rod Serling and made into a famous episode.
