I’m getting really sick of referrer spam, and dictionary attacks on root, so today I started out to look for solutions and I found this awesome site. If you have root access to your server you can add the following list of confirmed IPs - these come directly from my deny IPs list in IPTables. Every one of them is either a spam bot (as identified by the previously mentioned site) or the source of a hack attempt. So if you can edit IPTables on your server, add this list to your deny list.
