When looked at this way you can see what an overwhelming victory it was for the Democratic party’s message. This can’t all be accounted for by new voter registrations, they got their message across and a lot more people accepted it. It certainly helped that the Republicans had no message.
Excellent take on the self-immolation of the GOP over at Balloon Juice where I stole this graphic from. Watching them melt, like the Wicked Witch of the West, when the cold water of reality was thrown on them is going to be endlessly entertaining.
