It will be a, what’s the word she used, oh right, a hoot to see these two tear the GOP completely apart by sucking off the Tea Party votes and if Lou Dobbs runs he’ll siphon off all the racist and white supremacist votes as well. Hardly be a Republican left to vote.

He’s a hoot. He gets his message across in such a clever way. And he’s so bold — I have to respect that. He calls it like he sees it, and he’s very, very, very effective.”
The real question though is will America, as we know it, still be there in 2012. Like I’ve said before, I think the US is heading for a civil war. In fact I don’t see any way that it can be avoided now. If Obama was the reformer he intimated he was during the election then meaningful reforms could have happened and have reduced the building tensions. But, he isn’t, he’s at best a centrist and he sold out his purported constituency, Main Street America , for Wall Street.

- Home foreclosure filings “hit a record high in the third quarter (of 2009)… They were the worst three months of all time… 937,840 homes received a foreclosure letter” in this three-month period; “3.4 million homes are expected to enter foreclosure by year’s end, with some experts estimating that next year will be even worse.”
- One out of every two children in the United States of America will need to use a food stamp… to EAT! [snip] The United States Department of Agriculture released these findings in a study that was completed in December 2008, which means these numbers don’t take into account the millions more unemployed throughout 2009. The numbers of people living in poverty and struggling to eat has seen a significant increase since then.
- The gun and ammunition manufacturing industry in the United States has over 200 companies producing billions of dollars in annual revenues. This huge manufacturing base cannot fulfill demand quickly enough. The demand for guns and ammunition has hit a record high and the gun industry cannot produce enough bullets to keep up with orders.
Americans are arming themselves to the teeth!
- In the past year, 100 new armed militia groups have been formed, as militia members have doubled in numbers. Federal authorities are gravely concerned about the “uptick in militia activities.” One federal authority recently said, “All it’s lacking is a spark. I think it’s only a matter of time before you see threats and violence.”
- As the stock market went over the 10,000 mark and just surged to a 13-month high, the three big banks that took taxpayer money and benefited the most from the government bailout have just set a new global economic record by issuing $30 billion in annual bonuses this year, “up 60 percent from last year.”
* 50 percent of U.S. children, one out of every two children, will need to use food stamps to eat.
Not all those people buying guns are militia and/or racist types. A lot are scared middle class folks who see society collapsing, their jobs disappearing, their houses being lost, their children going hungry, their family dying from no health insurance and then they see the top 1% stealing the country blind and thumbing their noses at the populace. In the grand tradition of “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche”, (Let them eat cake), this is the stuff revolutions are made of. How long do you think it’s going to be before someone goes postal on wall street and sets off a chain reaction across the country where all those people who have lost their homes decide to take matters into their own hands and start stringing up the bankers and wall street types from the nearest lamp post? At some point those in power, be that de jure (elected government) or de facto (in this case corporate) will realize that the lambs are no longer willingly going to slaughter. By then it will be too late. I fear for you America you’ve pushed the sheeple too far too often and they are close to waking up. In the meanwhile right wing media types like Limbaugh,Beck,O’reilly,Hannity are whipping up the wingnut tea baggers to revolt. This tea bagger – Joe the plumber – militia type parody would be funny if it wasn’t so damn spot on for so many of those talk radio listening, Fox news watching, mega-church attending Americans. It’s from those sources they get their “truth”, their marching orders, and you can hand them verifiable facts all day long and they won’t listen or change their minds. Good luck with that, you and the rest of us sitting back helplessly watching a once great nation fall apart, are going to need it.
