MS to the Rescue

It appears that Microsoft is launching another attack on , and this one they may win. MS is thought to have convinced Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp, publishers of papers such as the New York Post, Barron’s , WSJ and many more, to withdraw their from and put them on Bing instead, for a fee. , at least until now, has refused to pay for that content. As we all know traditional news media, especially , are in steep decline due to a loss of advertising revenue, which has gone to the web instead. Getting paid well, by the likes of MS, and one supposes eventually, could be the saving grace for at least some large brands.

News reports say Microsoft has had discussions with News Corp. over a deal that would see the media company get paid to remove its news websites from .
