If your state or provincial government ever wants to host the Olympics do whatever you can to stop it from happening. The only people who benefit from it financially (aside from winning athletes) are those who are already wealthy power brokers. The Olympics are a major drain on already scarce resources. In this age of manufactured terrorism terror the security costs and details alone are ridiculous, something like a billion dollars for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler. So even though this waste of money is still 2 months away they are already stopping people at the border who they think are anti-olympics

I am embarrassed by my country.
