6265 Crescent Road, VancouverBased on the premise – ‘If I had one last lecture to give, what would I say?’ – David Suzuki: The Legacy Lecture will present a critical and candid exploration of a period of human history which includes his own life’s journey – an era which has overlapped and converged with many of the most important social, scientific, cultural and political developments of the past seventy years.
On December 10, audiences will have a single chance to witness a turning point in a great thinker’s life. David Suzuki: The Legacy Lecture, will be a moving and profound discussion as Dr. Suzuki shares a lifetime of lessons learned about our impact on our planet and his hope for the future.
The entire event – complete with set design and ever-changing larger-than-life images that illustrate the inherent inter-connectedness of life on Earth — will be filmed live to later play an integral part in a film chronicling pivotal moments over Dr. Suzuki’s lifetime.
The film is directed by Sturla Gunnarsson and produced by E1 and the National Film Board, in association with the CBC and Planet Green. The film is currently scheduled to be released in theatres in 2010 and broadcast on the CBC in 2011.
