If the Internet is one day going to rule the world Google is doing a heck of a job in positioning itself to rule the Internet. Now they have launched Google DNS and yes that could be a good thing for users whose ISPs have not taken the appropriate security measures to prevent DNS poisoning for example.

However, as one of my coworkers poited out – it doesn’t hurt Google either

get ppl using public DNS from Google to determine their search/browsing habits. Generate boatloads of data tracking various users from different parts of the globe. Data-mine the SHIT out of it. Profit.
