Great Stuff!
Check out his other animations while you're there - they're all very good.

Posted by: PureCarnage on November 29, 2003 08:36 AMBlumrich made a couple of videos in April that blew me away. I blogged about them here because they struck me as really savvy and so good, and I let my art historian's self have an enthusiastic romp (i.e., warning: lots of references to previous art and such!). (I heard back from him, too, which was nice...!) I'm not so sure whether the "Idiot Son of an Asshole" animation works as well as the earlier ones, though. Part of the problem is that everyone of good will and ability to think is reaching an ever higher level of desperation -- what if this guy gets reelected?? -- and Blumrich's animation is getting correspondingly heavier. (If Bush does get reelected, all hell will either break loose or it'll freeze over in a sickening quietude of oppression....)
Posted by: Yule Heibel on December 1, 2003 09:07 PMIt is simultaneously one ofmy greatest fears and one of my deadest certainties that Bush will be re-elected. The Dems are too fragmented and they haven't learned how to use "framing" (a la Lakoff) to their advantage. The Republicans have itall locked up - Bush's trip to Bagdhad, while still a farce, will play well with middle america and take away some of the sting of accusations against him. Already their initial television ads are framed in supporting your president is supporting the troops (boy Orwell would certainly appreciate that one) and that opposing the president it tantamount to giving aid and comfort to the enemy (don't ask which one it's irrelevant)
