Method:
Combine 1/2 Cup water, 1 Cup sugar and 3 lemon slices in a 2qt saucepanand boil for 3 minutes.Peel pears, leaving the stems intact. arrange the pears in a casserole dish, make certain that one is in the center. Baste with the sugar mixture. Microwave on HIGH for 7 minutes or until tender. Cover and refridgerate. For sauce, combine remaining water, chocolate and butter in a 4 Cup measuring cup and microwave on high until chocolate melts, about 1 minute. Stir in the sugar and corn syrup and microwave on medium for two minutes, stirring twice. Let stand uncovered for 30 minutes or until slighty thickened stirring occassionaly. Makes about 1 Cup. Arrange pears in individual dishes and pour chocolate sauce over top. Decorate with chopped pecans, mint leaves or long strips of lemon zest
